“Have got”, “to have” ile aynı anlama gelir. İkisi de sahip olmak anlamında kullanılır.
Have got = have
Has got = has
She has got blue eyes. = She has blue eyes. (Onun mavi gözleri var)
Ancak,
Have/has got sadece geniş zamanda kullanılır.
Have genelde olumsuz cümlelerde ve soru cümlelerinde kullanılmaz.

No, I haven’t got any (brothers and sisters). Hayır, hiç yok. (abim ve kız kardeşim)
Have they got a car? Onların arabası var mı?
Yes, they have got a car. Evet, onların arabası var.
No, they haven’t got a car. Hayır, onların arabası yok.
Has she got any children? Onun hiç çocuğu var mı?
Yes, she has got three children. Evet, onun üç çocuğu var.
No, she hasn’t got any children. Hayır, onun hiç çocuğu yok.
