Time Expressions 3.1
Zaman ifadeleriyle birlikte hangi zaman kiplerini kullanmamız gerektiğini anlamak bazen zor olabilir. Bu yüzden; Present Simple, Present Continuous ve Future ile sıkça kullanılan zaman ifadelerine bakacağız.
Present Simple
every | day, week, month, year, etc. |
once, twice/two times, three times etc. | a day, a week, a month, a year etc. |
adverbs of frequency | usually, often, sometimes, rarely etc. |
Örnekler:
He walks to work every day. İşe her gün yürüyerek gider.
She goes to Sydney twice a year. Senede iki kere Sydney’e gider.
How often do they play tennis? Ne sıklıkta tenis oynarlar?
They sometimes play tennis. Bazen tenis oynarlar.
Does she smoke? Sigara içer mi?
She rarely smokes. Nadiren sigara içer.
Present Continuous
periods around now | now/today/this week/this year/at the moment etc. |
Örnekler:
Carolin is watching TV now. Carolin şu anda televizyon izliyor.
I’m studying for my exams today. Bugün sınavlarıma çalışıyorum.
You’re working hard this week. Bu hafta sıkı çalışıyorsun.
Ryan is writing an e-mail at the moment. Ryan şu anda e-posta yazıyor.
Future

in | 2,3.. days, weeks, months, years 2,3… days’, weeks’ etc. time 1/an hour, 1/a day, 1/a week etc. 1 hour’s/ an hour’s time |
by | tomorrow next week, month, year, summer etc. this time next week, month, year, summer etc. the time + time clause |
Örnekler:
He'll be at home tomorrow. O yarın evde olacak.
We are going to New York next month. Gelecek ay New York’a gidiyoruz.
I am going to Athens in 5 days. 5 gün içinde Atina’ya gidiyorum.
I will be seeing my parents in an hour’s time. Anne ve babamı bir saat içinde göreceğim.
We will be on holiday in Spain in two weeks’ time. İki hafta içinde İspanya’da tatilde olacağız.
I will have finished the book by the time I see you again. Seni tekrar gördüğümde kitabı bitirmiş olacağım.
