To go/come/walk/drive to somewhere (Bir yere gitmek, gelmek, yürümek, sürmek (araba ile gitmek)) Örneğin,
We are going to New York. (New York’a gidiyoruz)
I go to bed at 11 o’clock. (Saat 11’de yatağa giderim) (uyurum/yatarım anlamında)
In/at/on
At genelde belirli bir konum (nokta) belirtir. In kapalı bir alan belirtir. On yüzey belirtir. Örneğin,
Do you stay in a hotel? (Otelde mi kalıyorsun?)
She is standing at the door. (O kapıda duruyor)
My bag is on the chair. (Çantam sandalyede)
From
Be/come from somewhere. (Bir yerden olmak, gelmek…) Örneğin,
Where are you from? (Neredensin?) (nerelisin?)
I am from the United States. (Amerikalıyım)
What time do you come to work everyday? Her gün işe saat kaçta gelirsin?
I come to work at 9. İşe 9’da gelirim.
I come to work at 9. İşe 9’da gelirim.
I walk to the beach on Saturdays. Cumartesileri plaja yürürüm.
I drive to work everyday. Her gün işe araba ile giderim.
I live in Soho. Soho’da yaşarım.
I live at number 9. 9 numarada yaşarım.
I live at number 9. 9 numarada yaşarım.
I met them at the airport. Onlarla hava alanında buluştum.
I saw them in the supermarket. Onları hava alanında gördüm.
I like singing in the shower. Duşta şarkı söylemeyi severim.
I’m tired. I’m staying at home tonight. Yorgunum. Bu gece evde kalıyorum.
